Description: OPM’s WPI team administers statutory and regulatory provisions related to strategic workforce planning, oversight of Federal executive boards, performance and development, recruitment, labor employee relations, and more. WPI equips Federal agencies with tools and products that enable them to hire and retain an effective workforce. 

Both housed at OPM, WPI and the Lab mutually benefited from a longstanding partnership that entailed collaboration on a wide range of workforce-focused services. Included: research findings for usage of shared candidate pools (”shared certs”) to increase hiring efficiency, hiring pathways public policy agenda, personnel flowchart graphics for OPM Office of the Director.
